Exterior Design

Each version of the 2021 Hyundai Kona EV also has many attractive exterior features as standard. The SEL trim features projector headlights, where the Limited and Ultimate trims feature LED headlights. All versions of the vehicle utilize automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights, a roof-mounted center High-mount stoplight with an LED brake light, turn signal indicators on side mirrors and heated exterior mirrors, solar front and privacy glass, front 2-speed variable intermittent windshield wipers and an intermittent rear window wiper/washer and a sharkfin roof antenna.

The 2021 Hyundai Kona EV contains several desirable electronic features, such as a 7-inch color touchscreen audio system with 6 speakers in the SEV and Limited versions and a 10.25-inch color touchscreen audio system complete with onboard navigation and traffic flow with incident data along with Infinity premium audio with Clari-Fi music restoration technology, external amp and 8 speakers in prime positions around the vehicle in the Ultimate version. All versions of the vehicle have power windows, proximity key entry, and an easy push-button start.

Each version of the vehicle also contains an extensive array of safety features: adjustable front-seat shoulder belt anchors and front seatbelt pre-tensioners and load limiters, LATCH lower anchors and upper tether anchors, a power window lock-out button, and child safety locks in the rear of the vehicle, 4-wheel disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control with traction control and brake assist along with vehicle stability management, several important driver warnings (a blind-spot collision warning, a rear cross-traffic collision warning, and a driver inattention warning), forward collision-avoidance assist and lane-keeping assist, a front crumple zone, 2.5-mph bumpers, bodyside reinforcements, an electronic shift lock system, an anti-theft system that is integrated with remote keyless entry and a panic alarm, and finally, an immobilizer.
