Anticipation continues to build for EV gurus awaiting the next week’s unveiling of the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. This milestone moment for electric trucks will come on May 19th. Just one day after US President Joe Biden’s $174 billion proposal to boost electric vehicle adoption and improve the nation’s charging infrastructure. Detroit News has reported that President Biden will be receiving a sneak preview of the new electric Lightning during his visit next Friday.

Ford has provided minimal information about its new electric truck but has kept fans excited and optimistic for the unveiling event. Competitors Tesla (TSLA) and Rivian have already unveiled their electric pickup models, but Ford hopes its trusted brand will generate more interest. For over 44 years, the F-series has been the best-selling truck in America, and we will see if this long-running record continues throughout the adaption of electric vehicles.
